An organization is a group of people structured within an entity such as an institution or an association, who are bound by a collective goal and function within a specific environment. Organizations include legal entities such as corporations, governments, non-governmental organizations, political organizations, international organizations, armed forces, charities, not-for-profit corporations, partnerships, cooperatives, educational institutions, etc. Organizations, by nature of their structure, have a hierarchy. They also have a set of shared values, ethics, expectations, and standards.
